Saunders-Roe A.36 Lerwick (serial number L7265, code WQ-Q), a British twin-engine flying boat of No. 209 Squadron RAF, taking off from Loch Ryan near Stranraer during World War II. Only 21 aircraft were ever built due to severe design flaws, poor stability, underpowered engines, and a high accident rate (11 of the 21 were lost in accidents).
