Defence Equipment and Support has placed a £176M order for further batch of Lightweight Multi Role Missiles with Thales UK in Belfast. They will equip Wildcat helicopters (known as the Martlet missile in RN service) and provide short-range air defence for the Army. Hundreds of LMMs have already been gifted to Ukraine where they have been successfully used to destroy Russian targets.
