Douglas XB-42 Mixmaster.








The XB-42 was an experimental bomber aircraft designed pitched for a bomber with a high top speed. The idea was to mount the two engines within the fuselage with a pair of contra-rotating propellers placed on the tail in a pusher configuration which would leaving the wing and fuselage clean and free of drag-inducing protrusions. May, 1944.
