Saab 35 Draken is a legendary Swedish supersonic fighter jet with a double-delta wing configuration, which gave it a futuristic, kite-like silhouette often nicknamed the “Swedish Dorito” or “Dragon”. Looks a bit tight in there!

The image shows Germany’s first Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II stealth fighter jet (serial number 35+01) during its official rollout ceremony in Fort Worth, Texas, on September 18, 2026. Germany is purchasing 35 F-35A jets (valued at roughly €10 billion) to replace its aging Panavia Tornado fleet and support NATO’s nuclear-sharing mission. The first jets are scheduled to begin arriving in Germany starting in 2027.

The last produced USMC Harrier completes its final mission.BuNo 166288 was demilitarized and made safe for static display at the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola. BuNo 166288 was delivered by Boeing in September 2003 and logged over 5,800 flight hours over the years, deploying on multiple L-Class ships and land-based sites in support of combat operations.

A photo of two U.S. Air Force McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom II fighters (s/n 66-0300, 66-0370) intercepting a Soviet Tu-95 Bear D aircraft, waving to each other, on 28 September 1980. The F-4Es were assigned to the 57th Fighter Interceptor Squadron based at Keflavik Air Base, Iceland. Both Phantoms were sold to Turkey in 1987. A plane bearing the serial number 66-0300 is today on outdoor display at Keflavik AB
