Big Brother is Watching!

 A British RC-135 surveillance aircraft has completed a deployment monitoring Russian forces in Kaliningrad on the Baltic Sea, Belarus north of Ukraine as well as Russian forces in and around Crimea on the Black Sea.

The RC-135W Rivet Joint and its sensors are designed to undertake ‘signals intelligence’ missions, in other words they ‘soak up’ electronic emissions from communications, radars and other systems.

PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan. 19, 2022)

 A P-8A Poseidon from Patrol Squadron (VP) 47 conducts midair refueling with the U.S. Air Force 506th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron during exercise Sea Dragon 2022. Sea Dragon is a U.S.-led, multi-national exercise designed to practice and discuss Anti-submarine Warfare tactics to operate together in response to traditional and non-traditional maritime security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region. VP-47 conducts maritime patrol and reconnaissance as well as theater outreach operations as part of a rotational deployment to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.

New Apahe attack helicopter.

The British Army’s new attack helicopter, the Apache AH-64E, has been brought into frontline service.

Fifty Apache AH-64E Version 6 aircraft (rebuilt from the British Army’s pre-existing Apache AH1 fleet) have been purchased from the United States with 14 of them having been delivered to the British Army so far.

Calling in the military to monitor migrants in the English Channel.

For the second time in 18 months, the Home Secretary formally requested assistance from the MoD to deal with migrants crossing the English Channel in small boats.
